Archery Deer Management on Chapter Property
Many members enjoy hunting on Chapter property to help control the deer population. To hunt deer on Chapter property, you MUST pass a qualification test. This applies to everyone—whether you were qualified in the past or a first-time applicant.
IWLA-R follows “Quality Deer Management”
We will be following the Quality Deer Management 15" rule. Bucks taken off IWLA-R property must have a spread of 15" or larger.
To Qualify you will Need
- 2024 Hunting License
- Current Membership Card
- Bow Hunter Education Card
Applicant must be able to hit three out of five shots with broadheads between 10 and 30 yards, shooting from the first level of the tower.
Dates for 2024 Qualification Testing
Qualification testing will be held at the IWLA-R Chapter House. These are the ONLY dates to qualify for the 2024 season.
- Sunday, August 25 • 10:00 a.m. to noon
- Monday, August 26 • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 31 • 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Sunday, September 1 • 10:00 a.m. to noon
- Thursday, September 5 • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Monday, September 9 • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
